SAIC Motor’s sales grew steadily over the first three quarters of the year. Quarterly sales reached 890,000, 1.18 million and 1.31 million vehicles respectively. This result gives the company a solid foundation for higher targets in the fourth quarter. Q4 is traditionally the peak season of the automotive market.
In September, SAIC Motor delivered 102,000 new energy vehicles (NEVs)*. It also sold 105,000 vehicles in overseas markets. Both figures set new records for the year. They mark the company’s strong progress in its innovative transformation.

For the first time this year, the company’s monthly NEV sales exceeded 100,000 units. This shows the automaker’s breakthroughs in developing new energy vehicles.

SAIC Motor also maintained strong growth momentum in overseas markets. In the first nine months, its cumulative overseas wholesale volume reached 838,000 units. This marks a 21.8% year-on-year increase. The result keeps SAIC Motor ahead of other Chinese automakers.
In September, SAIC Motor’s overseas sales reached an impressive 105,000 units. The MG brand performed especially well in Europe. Its monthly sales hit 28,000 units, double the figure for the same period last year. MG topped the new vehicle sales charts in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway and Ireland. In addition, the MG ZS took first place in monthly vehicle sales in Spain.
